A purpose-driven journey for leadership development through storytelling and introspection with Kanina Blanchard, D
We’ll examine an actual case study that took place a few years back at a large, multinational pharmaceutical company called Pharmanova Corporation. We heard from the COO and HRVP:
“We have observed a decline in employee engagement and resilience at several of our leading brands. This trend has persisted even after restructuring efforts, and appears largely due to senior leaders setting poor examples (often overindulgent in travel and luxuries). In addition, many new hires (particularly the younger generation) lack leadership or work skills, or are unsure about what it truly means to become an authentic leader in a big company environment.”
Their hope is to start over – and not only in the workplace setting but also in the products they make: “We can reset our strategy. By creating a Purpose-Pivot as we have at Google before.” They believe this will allow their people and brands to regain purpose while creating value for their stakeholders and customers again. Our purpose for the analysis would have three main steps : How long will it really take to complete ? – The problem isn’t as obvious. Many senior executives of pharamanonvacorp probably never thought of a need to create a leadership development program to improve new young employee skill building. Additionally many other pharmacy company had experienced

“Inspiring Change through Purpose and Character”
## Solution to Kanina Blanchard’s problem statement
As a leader in one of Japan’s top-three advertising firms, I need to make sure I approach my journey in such a way that inspires everyone, and they know who I really am.” The most prominent issue faced by Kanina is how to build trust with her team when taking leadership in her firm after many employees felt frustrated with the lack of communication with their previous bosses. In this section, we will discuss what is behind the root problem, which frameworks will better capture the complexities associated with leadership and character, and the pros and cons for building trust as the basis for achieving Kanina’s vision. To frame and analyze Kanina’s situation, let’s delve deeper into the root issue and apply some frameworks. Kanina is now on a quest for self-awareness that should have brought some relief and confidence back to her. Unfortunately, her vulnerabilities and her past actions may prevent employees from immediately accepting her for the role she wants.

## Section 4: Problem Statement Kanina has realized she must win trust to achieve her vision at her company. While it is an honor to become a leader, many in the team felt frustrated with their experiences before with previous leaders in similar circumstances. Specifically: “Our leadership team left me high and dry a month ago. With only 4 days of notice about their transfer. I felt like the entire company left without saying a proper goodbye. They did not communicate and provide information about what our goals should be going forward, where new teammates should be transferred, how their work could contribute, and where we would go as a business. We’ve been floundering with our productivity and direction in several teams. The leadership left out all the key elements to the plan which left many employees in the dark. There was a lot of resentment about the whole thing since many of us feel that these were our top priorities since we started working together. I feel the impact and know it will hurt their trust for a while,” \_Kate_ , a salesperson within the firm with a new leader now “I left this morning because there were no answers to my inquiries to my previous boss. I know this change won’t happen soon.

Article anecdotes related to purpose of company I recently worked on a project with a senior KBM executive at their social media platform to develop a content strategy for their purpose statement. They asked about courtroom court case law related to purpose, which immediately struck me as strange since a common misunderstanding about leading purposeful organizations like this is about mission statements that get put aside during legal proceedings because purpose often isn’t relevant there but this can be a common cause for disengagement among the target audience and that doesn’t need to happen with such organizations

Case Study Solution Section
I’m here in my current job and I’m helping legal consulting clients solve complex legal business disputes as they come up. Most of it is pretty technical. I recently started my second round at Harvard Business School on a part-time basis so it’s not too demanding either. This semester, my goal is to do better in accounting. For academic life, one of the courses I chose was ‘Management for Law Firms.’ It looks like we can apply various frameworks that’ll make the consulting experience much better. So for me the question seems relatively simple: if our main clients are companies, how would I tailor our team and our services and the business overall to more closely align with purpose, responsibility, leadership, communication, integrity—so they all come together to achieve our common purpose.
