I started out on the road to Ypres later that month as an interview in the course of one of the last class talks I remember. I talked to Lucy Thomas, then teaching in English at the Ypres School of American Poetry and English Department, and after that I worked my way around the local library with friends who watched her in the classroom in the summer of 1993. These last few days I’ve been working with Aalto at the Ypres School in Ypres.
