I have failed before, I may as well continue doing so, that’s my approach to mistakes in life: I always try my hardest. However, some cases do stand out where I made particularly foolish decisions. This case involves me guiding SIMRAN GUPTA and RAHUL KUMAR of Harry Palwal Industries Limited (HPIL). In the first chapter we established them

“Simran” is our company, we are going somewhere new, let’s do it!” 2 years ago I decided to guide HPIL through SME-to-Main Board migration — Simran Gupta — It has just been announced that two prominent figures at your previous company have finally decided they want to take their company and business plans for Harry Palwal Industries Limited (HPIL) public and seek funding from potential large public investors to grow their company beyond a private SME (Small Medium Enterpise). This was something I had been working on for over a year with these guys to achieve what no SME wants to happen because a major public offering, where companies and entrepreneurs lose control, can disrupt operations, raise cost structure etc. and eventually leads to downhill decline, death of business if it becomes insufficiently financed. And these guys had a track records of successful products as CEO’s, I don’t think a mistake from them, but just because we’ve decided SME status has made them vulnerable. Click This Link we don’t believe so. These guys have built a significant size company to which has had some products they have been selling in China as well in the Middle East they have had quite a bit of success in terms of growth with all the other countries and they wanted to reach this market now for a new venture.

**Section II: why I hate/love the topic**
Why do I care so much about this project, HPIL’s SME-to-Main Board Migration? I find it a bit intriguing because of its mix of different components and factors at play, some from strategy, other from people, some from finance, and I love diving into such topics because there is rarely a “right answer” per se. But it gets tricky to love, when the two main stakeholders both love HPIL’s growth, but also fear for its stability with an expansion decision. So there are a lot of personal stakeholders that love to put their fingers in everything and want to be sure of getting all they ask for, and that makes me feel quite a rush at the end because, as always
When it comes to strategic decisions, people will say they are rational, data-driven, but still can turn it personal at anytime.

While this scenario is full of exciting possibilities to make things happen while swimming with the sharks from a financial standpoint or from strategic point and view of the company’s future development as such migration will affect. In this sense this case could be an exceptional experience of having both analytic skills to manage and a human touch, while I believe being a consultant of such topic should come naturally as it is easy. However with this case, there are many components and factors at
