Why I Hate/Love This topic: I feel a strong ambivalence about this particular case. One one hand, I love Dell EMC because they’ve got it going. It appears they have all kinds of technology and digital healthcare capabilities which could really do some good on their clinical and patient satisfaction, in terms of outcomes… ## Answer (0) **Background:** As mentioned before in my response in discussion one week 29 (see here), this case study presents information of the acquisition of Perfusion and Acquisition Inc. The main background here pertains mainly to clinical supply kits used as disposable devices. Clinical supply kits, according to the authors [RSKBNWNL2], consist in a sterile or single-user, medical and surgical device consisting mostly in nonimplantable accessories. These products usually go unchained of electronic and diagnostic sensors. However, the use of such equipment enables medical teams, and most importantly nursing professionals, more control over anesthesia monitoring, as well as the administration of critical care. A few examples of clinical device equipment that can be classified under the heading of clinical supply kit would include defibrillator and resuscitation carts, arterial access sheaves with filters, venous ultrasonography, cardiac leads for pacemakers, among many other things.
