The main project for the Mayor of Seattle is near the North Pole, but there are plans to build in the West End as well as to the waterfront, with high-speed pedestrian connections in the winter.

Because the City Council is actively pursuing all possible solutions to various public and private improvements and construction projects that benefit the greater Northwest, several of the Metro-North plans that build and maintain public-private buildings have been recently approved. Recent reviews of planned or partially proposed sidewalks have indicated a number of short-and long-term effects on the community’s neighborhood. These include increased traffic volume on Washington Hills and the East End relative to downtown, increased sidewalks and streets, and a decrease in crime rates in downtown while traffic keeps increasing.
